About Us

When Richard has conduct of your matter you receive the benefit of all the experience he has obtained since he was admitted to practice as a Lawyer in 1968. Richard is one of the founding partners of the firm, having previously gained his training in a city firm which specialised in Local Government work.

Richard is the head of our commercial and property divisions and whilst he oversees the firm’s commercial and domestic property practice his main focus is in commercial property development, business advice, commercial negotiations and estate planning.

Richard has long been actively involved in community organisations that assist the elderly.

David practices in the firm’s commercial and property division. He will use his extensive experience for you in the sale or purchase of your property or business, your commercial lease matters as well as any loans, mortgages or refinancing you may have to do. David is experienced in wills and estates, powers of attorneys and enduring guardianship. You will benefit from David’s expertise in easements and other general property matters. You may also call on David’s skill in relation to general commercial matters and property development.

David graduated with a Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Law degree from the University of New South Wales. He joined the firm in July 1996, becoming a partner shortly after joining. David brought with him the experience he gained handling a very wide range of matters at a law firm in the eastern suburbs of Sydney.

Craig brings to our firm a wealth of experience in all types of business and property matters, conveyancing, leases, wills, estates and estate planning. He provides common sense commercial legal advice. Craig has been in practice since 1981.

Craig has expertise in anticipating the potential issues and problems that may arise in transactions and in negotiating successful outcomes.

Craig has extensive experience in assisting clients with successful property developments, sub-divisions, rural conveyancing, sale and purchase of business and he has a keen interest in legislative developments in these areas.

Ian is a lawyer in our commercial and property practices and before joining Fox and Staniland Lawyers he practiced in several national and international law firms.

Ian has acted for small to medium enterprises, banks, financial institutions, private health funds, not for profit organisations and government agencies in corporate, commercial and property transactions. Ian specialises in acquisition and disposal of businesses and shares, corporate governance, commercial contracts, all areas of real property and succession planning.
